The staff at Kiddie Kingdom has proven to be a group of dedicated individuals.  The administrative staff - Kathi Thomasson, Stewart Luther

and Evelyn Durrett - have a combined history with the center of 66 years!  Evelyn has been the bookkeeper and board treasurer for 39 years.  She

is the only current employee who can say that she was here the day we opened!  Kathi has been our administrator for 14 years and Stewart our director for 12 years.

Our core teaching staff is just as dedicated and experienced.  Edith Durrett has been teaching 3-year-olds for 29 years, and Barbara Parker has been teaching 4-year-olds for 25 years!  Darlene Combs (17 years) teaches our Toddler class.  Patsy Priddy (14 years) is currently managing our Pre-Kindergarten and schoolage classes. Angel Williams (8 years) began as a substitute when her own children were enrolled.  Linda Shaver (7 years) is a co-teacher in our Preschool class and works with our schoolagers.   Vicky Hill (7 years) is our 4-year-old teacher in the half day program.  Thelma Mines (5 years) teaches our Toddler class, after 17 years with 2-year-olds at another center. Corinne Luck (5 years), a former Henry Clay Elementary teacher for 9 years, heads up the Pre-Kindergarten enrichment class.

We have other support staff that work with the children at Kiddie Kingdom.  Many of our younger staff are former students of the center!  Most are seeking a career in the education field and look to us for their first professional experience with children.  Others are caring adults who have a strong interest in children and support our teaching staff in the classrooms.

If you are interested in volunteering, Kiddie Kingdom is a registered agent with the Volunteer Services Program, which is a part of the Hanover County Department of Community Resources.  Through this program, we can obtain training and consultation in volunteer management and assistance.
